Eric grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1999. He attended Auburn University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Accounting in 2004.
His career began at Russell Corporation/Russell Athletic. Since 2009, Eric has worked with Amerex Corporation located in Trussville, Alabama. Amerex is one of the leading manufacturers of fire extinguishers and fire suppression equipment in the world. Eric currently serves as Controller of the company where he manages the financial side of the business and also serves as head of the Philanthropy Committee.
Eric has almost 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He and his wife Brittany have 4 children, Brooks, Brady, Bennett and Anna Kate. The Reeds live in Morris and attend Church of the Highlands in Fultondale. Eric’s wife Brittany is the daughter of Patrice Brooks, one of the founders of JKS.
In his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with his family. He loves playing sports with his kids and watching them play baseball, basketball and football while coaching their teams. They also enjoy playing golf and spending time at the lake and beach whenever possible.
